The wadi in Bidbid is the most important tourist attraction in the wilayat which is visited by tourists from all parts of the country.

Bidbid Souq

A number of traditional and heritage products such as khanjars, silverwares, plait works of date palm leaves, potteries and omani halwa can be found on offer to the buyers. Fanja is the most beautiful village in the wilayat and is a commecial hub and lies on the Muscat-Nizwa highway.

Weaving

The craft of weaving is one of the most important traditional professions of the people of Samail. In order to develop and modernise this profession,the Omani Government has built a weaving factory thant combines the old with the new. The residents also practise the craft of plait works of date palm leaves,gold and silver ware and leather products.

Samail Fort

Construction of this most important historical landmark of the wilayat dates back to more than 500years. It has another square shaped tower on the north side and the two are connected with a tall will . The fort houses a number of chambers and partitions used for residential purposes.

Jabel Al Kor

Al Kor is the most famous mountain in the wilayat from which a number oe wadis flow down , such as the fertile and naturally beautiful Bahla ,Saifam and Al A'la wadis.There are a number of water springs in the northern part of the wilayat.

The old market in Bahla

The old market situated near the Bahla fort is still maintaining its ancient character and features.Business is brisk particularly in the early morning and official holidays. There are omani halwa factorise and some traditional crafts such as gold and silver wares,khanjar and sword making and copper industries.
